Discreet DNA Samples: Terms & Conditions

Should you be considering sending us a discreet DNA sample please read the information below. You may also contact us directly to discuss your case with our customer care department.

  1. The price we cite for each independent sample is independent of the cost of the test; thus, you need to add the cost of the sample to the cost of the standard test. For example: full cost of paternity test + cost of discreet sample = total cost.

  2. The type of sample you choose will not affect the accuracy of your result. The success rate we give for each discreet sample relates to the probability with which our analysts can extract the DNA samples. Once the DNA has been extracted, the test can progress as with a standard sample with the same high success rate for results.

  3. If the discreet sample you give us proves unsuccessful to conclude testing, or if you send in more than one sample, we may offer to test your second discreet sample at a discounted cost. This however, is at our discretion.

  4. We cannot guarantee DNA sample extraction from a discreet sample will yield the necessary DNA for testing. However, we do assure our clients that our ISO 17025 accredited laboratory will handle your samples with utmost professionalism and most up-to-date genetic testing technology.

  5. Discreet sample can only be used for curiosity purposes. A DNA test carried out with discreet samples has no legal validity. If you wish to have a legal test you will need to have your samples authenticated and follow the required chain of custody.

  6. Your results are ready in 5-7 working days; however, this turnaround time may occasionally vary depending on the case.

  7. We strongly recommend using saliva as a DNA sampling method using our mouth swabs (saliva sample are NOT discreet samples) as the success rate with these is consistently high and the cost is lower.

  8. The client sending in any discreet DNA samples is held fully responsible for those samples as well as purchasing the test.

  9. In the UK the Human Tissues Act dictates that you cannot take DNA samples from anybody without their explicit consent. In cases of minors, you may sign on their behalf if you are the legal guardian of the child.

If you require using a discreet sample we suggest you Contact Us before sending in anything. We might have some invaluable information to give you.
