DNA testing is highly accurate and reliable. We generally carry out our DNA tests using a standard mouth swab we provide in our DNA test kit. However, it is also possible to select other types of samples which can all yield DNA and which we have grouped under the umbrella term ‘discreet DNA samples’ and presented in a table on this page.
You may wish to use a discreet sample when it is not possible to get saliva directly from one of the parties that need to be tested. In such cases, you need to identify which sample is most suited to your requirements, read about the best way to package and send us the sample, and finally be aware of the additional cost of using these types of samples.
