Look for accreditation: Accreditation is something you should look out for when buying your DNA test. Some companies will unscrupulously find ways of cutting costs and therefore, reducing the quality of your results. You should thus look out for the type of accreditation, if any, awarded to the labs. We at homeDNAdirect are proud to be partnered with our ISO17025 accredited laboratories that carry out every test abiding by the highest DNA testing standards and as required by their accreditation status.
Look for Technical Support: homeDNAdirect has several years of DNA testing experience and we share this experience with our customers so that they can understand fully what their DNA test will consist of and how to go about it. We treat every case we handle on an individual level and ensure you are comfortable with everything before and during the DNA testing process.
Watch out for the number of Loci tested: All our DNA tests are performed on 16 genetic loci. This means that your results conform to the standards needed to guarantee results which are highly accurate. Companies may test a smaller number of loci and offer cheaper services – however this may not always be a good option.
Through our test will give you the most accurate and reliable results always alongside outstanding quality. Clients may be under stress and anxious to have their results, but we stick to our quality promise and will not cut corners.
How accurate are my results?
Your results will provide you with considerable detail of the DNA testing results so that you can understand the transparency of the lab’s testing. As stated, your results will be very accurate so as to ensure your peace of mind. In a paternity DNA test, you can expect an inclusion of 99.99% if the mother’s DNA samples are included. Without her samples, it may be slightly lower. If the tested father is not the biological father of the child, you will see an exclusion rate which will read a clear 0%.
Find a company that will ensure privacy: We at homeDNAdirect understand the sensitive nature of some DNA test, especially a paternity test. Thus, we will make sure that whilst you are dealing with us your whole case is handled in total privacy. Your results will be emailed to you at which ever email address you tell us to and if you choose to have them send to you by post, you will receive them in an unmarked envelope.
My DNA testing Kit: Our DNA testing kit will be send to you within 24 hours of settling your payment. You can expect to receive it in just 2-4 business days, though it could take longer over Christmas and bear in mind your location and any strikes. In your kit you will find a set of instructions to help you with you DNA samples collecting with the painless oral mouth swabs we supply. You will also find the necessary forms which you will need to fill in giving us some basic information about test participants.
